Holidays 2021

Happy Holidays

PPR wishes you and your family Happy Holidays!

One Family's Story

The HUB is helping people like Karen and her family who live in a van. Karen heard about the HUB from a food bank. She needed a gas gift card because she has to run her van's engine all night to keep her children warm. PPR provided her with a gas card and encouraged her to connect with additional community resources.

HUB News

PPR's HUB is wrapping up its first year of providing direct services to people experiencing poverty. From January 2021 to mid-December 2021, the HUB served more than 80 families. We could not do this work without support from people like you and the Rotary Foundation of SW Pacific County. Thank you for your support.

PPR Annual Campaign
Why now?

Some say this is the most wonderful time of the year. However, for many of our clients, it is the worst time of year. They may be sleeping outside or in a structures not fit for habitation. Being homeless means being cold and wet and probably hungry. This can be a difficult painful time of year for people who are unhoused.

PPR does our annual fundraiser in December because we are reminded of the many people living cold and damp. Our clients are often our neighbors, and too often they are struggling just to survive. Thinking of our clients makes all of us at PPR work harder so we can create enough funding to continue our work helping relieve the direct impacts of poverty on the Peninsula.

This year, PPR has worked with more than 80 families helping them with food and gas gift cards, camping gear, Discover Passes, and other assistance. Every family is struggling. Some, like Josie, are single moms living in their vehicles trying to keep their children warm by running their vehicles all night. Others, like Jim, are veterans who camp in the dunes while doing their best to survive one day at a time. PPR offers them help that ease their difficulties. We feel it is a honor to help our neighbors in need because it's the right thing to do.

Please donate today.
