In 2023, we spent $17,000 per month ($204,000 annually) responding to immediate needs with our HUB services, washing clothes once a week with Laundry Love, and connecting neighbors in need to resources at Project Community Connect. Overnight Shelter
Peninsula Poverty Response provides community-based support for those living in poverty. Our Camp Hope project aims to raise funds to create an overnight shelter for unhoused people.
What is an overnight shelter?
Provides a safe, warm, and dry place to sleep, one night at a time.
Unlimited length of stay.
Low barrier entry, no drugs or weapons allowed.
On-site access to case management, drug/alcohol treatment, and mental health treatment.
Why are overnight shelters important?
Currently no shelters.
Increasing need for tents and sleeping bags.
More people living on vacant land, in cars, in abandoned structures, and in substandard housing.
